Two years ago, a co-worker of mine noticed my hands and said “You look really young but your hands look old!” From then on, I’ve been conscious about my hands so I started looking for ways to treat and improve my dry scaly hands. Michael’s Craft Store carries wall decals as well. This is where I found chandelier wall stickers.

To begin, you just need to clean wall surface and wipe down wall surface where you plan to stick your wall decals with a dry cloth.

Then, decide how and where you want to place your wall stickers. Cut the stickers. You may also use a masking tape first and tape the wall stickers to the surface where you want them placed. This way you can see how it will look like and to make sure that is where you really want to place the stickers.

Next, slowly and carefully peel the white backing at a 45° angle starting at one corner. Use a credit card to smooth the sticker up the wall. Once the wall stickers are in place, carefully smooth out any bubbles.

Tips & Warnings

• Do not place wall stickers on wallpaper or tile.
• Ask a friend to help you put the wall stickers up.
• Wall surfaces should be clean and dry before applying.

This is a quick and easy coconut macaroons recipe.  Macaroons is one of my favorite dessert when I was living in the Philippines.  If you miss the filipino version of macaroons, give this recipe a try and you’ll love it.

 Things You’ll Need:

• 2 mixing bowls
• rubber spatula/scraper
• baking sheet
• 1/4 cup butter
• 1/2 cup light brown sugar
• 4 egg yolks
• 1/2 can condensed milk
• 4 cups shredded or flaked dessicated coconut
• 4 egg whites

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 350F. Place foil bake cups on a baking sheet.

2. With your rubber spatula, cream butter until light and fluffy. Add sugar and egg yolks then mix until smooth. Mix in condensed milk and shredded or flaked dessicated coconut.

3. In another bowl, beat egg whites until frothy. Add sugar and continue beating until stiff.

4. Mix in the egg yolk mixture. Fill bake cups with the mixture and bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.

I witness a lot of office romances unfold in my workplace. Some people in our organization let themselves get romantically involved with married men or women. I realize that we spend long hours at work and emails, text messages, internet make cheating a lot easier. I’ll use Wendy and Bob as an example. Wendy is single, has a boyfriend, and used to be our Sales Analyst. Bob is married and Vice President of our Sales Department. She has a strong desire to move up as a Sales Manager and at the same time attracted to Bob. She’s used different ways to get to where she is now which is, our Sales Manager. Sad but true.

So, if you have a crush on a married co-worker, here are a fews tips on how not to fall for him/her. You are not only jeopardizing your job, you are also ruining your image and most importantly, someone else’s relationship with his/her partner and kids.

1. Do not use funny or joke forwarded emails and even chain letters to get noticed. I know people who use this technique. I call this “subtle cyber flirting.” They just want to see if he/she comments on the email.
2. Do not add him/her to your Instant Messenger. If he/she is already on your IM list, only talk about things that are work related. Don’t talk about your personal life. If you have problems and you need somebody to talk to, call your best friend, cousin or mother. If he/she starts any personal conversations, end it politely.
3. Do not send text messages that are not work related. If the opposite sex sends you a text message that is not work related, don’t reply.
4. In addition to what I have mentioned above, do not call or send him/her text messages after office hours and weekends. You do not need to say hello or wish him/her Happy Holidays or Happy 4th.
5. If you need to have lunch with him/her, bring another co-worker and drive separately.
6. Avoid going out for drinks after work. If you need to go, make sure you don’t drink.
7. Always remember, “Strictly business.”
8. Be considerate and respect his/her family. How would you feel if you’re married and your partner cheats on you?
9. If you need affection and attention, go date someone who is not married or attached. Remember, if you are involved with a married man/woman, you will not be his/her priority. You will not get his/her full attention.

Glutathione is a popular whitening pill that is used by Asian women most especially by famous Asian celebrities. I can say that this is really effective as I noticed that my friend is now blemish free and her skin tone turned lighter.

It’s a bit slow today at work so here I am writing an article about Teen Acne.  Last night, my daughter was telling me how happy she is about her skin.  She used to have a lot of pimples on her forehead.  I was so concerned about it as I know exactly how it is to have pimples at her age.  I’ve been there, done that.  She has tried different acne products until she finally found the right one that works great for her skin. I’m over 35 years of age and have started seeing signs of aging on my face.
